KI: Robotics

 Oct 8th 2021 

Today was my first day at Robotics and I’m going to tell you about it. 

First I’ll introduce everyone.

We have two teachers. Mr.Cooper and Mr. Fraser.

 Mr.Cooper is more of the engineer guy. If there’s something we need help to build or don’t know how to too he’s the guy to go to. He real expert in that area. He also knows what tool to use for everything. And even has it! Its rare if he doesn’t have that tool.

Next we have Mr.Fraser and he’s our program teacher. I work with him the most. He’s a coder. He codes games for computers and mobile phones too. He even has a few out you can download on your phone. I’m learning a lot from him. He the one I go to when I need help programming the robot. He gives good pointers. 

Then we have the students. Now I can’t go into detail about each student because one I haven’t met them all and two I don’t have permission. Maybe one day if they give the okay I will make a post about it but for now. Use your imagination. 

As of right now we are currently working on two robots for our upcoming tournament on Oct 30th. 

We have team Moon and Team T-Rex 

I’m on team T-Rex. My job is to program the robot. We have 3-4 others on our team that is our engineers. They build the robot. Make sure its wheels move and that the arms are on good. Our robot has two arms and they are going to be connected. 

Now as for today. Today team T-Rex got the basic done and all it need was to program the driving. So that’s what I did. 

This is the coding I did for team T-Rex. Mr.Fraser said it was important to put comments in your coding so then others can also read your coding. Sense sometimes coders work in teams . With this coding I go the robot to move back and forth. Unfortunately I forgot to get a video of that. But it’s okay. 

Well that was day 1. It was fun and very exciting I’m glad I decided to join robotics. I hope I can continue to learn and grow with this club. 

Oct 15th 2021   

Today was my second time at robotics. Today was a little bit more crazy. Today my team was working on getting it arms on so I couldn’t do any programming for them yet. But I did help out the other team. 

Team moon coder need some help so I helped them out. But we did run into a few problems. For some reason the code wasn’t working. So we checked if it need updates. There was no needed updates. So then we changed all the Wires to new to see if that was the problem. But still no luck so after changing the code and wires again. We came to the conclusion that it must be the motor. 

There’s what there robot some what look is likes. So today all we could do is wait for the robot to be built and fixed.
