Looking ahead from behind

This is the beginning of my new learning journey.  Along the way, I'm going to have to use what I've learned throughout my life. Learning is supposed to all about school there for I'll begin with the classes I had last semester. They aren't exactly connect with my key interest which is Culinary, Anime and Dramas, and Korean language and culture. But I make connections as I go on.

For example, When I bake a cake I need to know the right measurements. Also I will sometimes have to convert grams into cups or teaspoons. As well when I want to watch anime or dramas in different languages I need to be able to comprehend what's going on so I have to sometimes read fast. learning different languages can help me expand my knowledge.

When I had my previous classes I wasn't able to do these types of thing. In my previous classes I was often lost and baffled at times. Thought those classes did teach me thing like order and organization. But it also thought me that everyone learns different and at a different speed some take longer to lean than others

I knew this class was different when I received my email. It showed me that my teacher actually care about my interest and respected them. He wrote my email in Korean which let me put my skills to use. When I solved the Korean I had realized what part of the message had meant.  But there was still this one sentence that I could not figure out. So I am curios and excided to what it means.

I wrote a post about my email there's the link πŸ‘‡

A Funny Thing Happened on the way to not going to School

So when I was about 6 I would play in the backyard with my little brother who was like 5 at the time. And we had this fence in our backyard that had a hole under it. The hole was big enough that we can go under and get to the other side. The other side was like another street. Also our grandparents lived literally around the Conner. So one day when me and my brother were playing outside we decided to go to our grandparents. So when our mom wasn't looking we crawled under the fence and started walking to our grandparent. But then we see our mom chasing after us and we start running to our grandparents. I was caught first and then my brother. Till this day I still have no clue who told our mom we left but she found out. We never made it our grandparent. After that we weren't aloud to play outside alone anymore. Also they covered up the hole.

Accepting the Call to Adventure

When I first received my email I was bit confused. I forgot our teacher was sending us one. So I stared at it for a little bit than I remembered what the email was for. But when I got the email I was watching TV.

A Call to Adventure (zwardsmhs23.blogspot.com)

This was different from receiving a text book because when we get our text book usually our teacher will say flips to so and so page. read it and then come answer these questions after. But with this well at least for me the questions will be first

Rare and Beautiful (zwardsmhs23.blogspot.com)

The bowser I use is the Microsoft edge or safari. But to translate the Korean I used Translate. I tend to uses these sights more do to the fact that they are easier. I didn't use any web sight in particular. This is what I used to translate the Korean part of the email.

translate - Bing

What I that helped was I thought of Aladdin. The question uses a lamp/lantern in the vocabulary. Now there was a part that said not all lamps have a genie inside. But when I figure that out I imagined a genie coming out of the lamp.

An Idea that I got when exploring this was what would happen if Aladdin never rubbed the lamp. Also what did the teacher mean when he said "a body in motion stays in motion." I am a bit confused about what he meant about that. I know that the sentences is one of Newtons Law of motions.

A video explain the motions in detail

Am I a hero

Yes I do think learning this semester is an adventure in the future and present. I believe this because the way Dr. present teaches his students is different from other teachers. He askes us what we think and cares about what we say and our opinions. Its different from classes I had before.  I'm excided for the future of the class.

A Call to Adventure

I believe he was talking about a magic light. The translation to the Korean was "Stop it and What's going on. Its a magic light." It means not all stories are the same. Some tend to stereotype people based on there gender or ethnicity. But the man was trying to say don't judge based of someone else story.

A picture worth 10000 words

This is a picture of a Place in Seoul, South Korea. It is one of there more traditional places they have. As one of my key interest is Korean culture and language. I feel like this I was drawn to this picture because it look so fascinating. I would love to see this in person.

Another one of my key interest is anima and dramas. I choose this picture because Fairy Tail it is the first anime I watched. It is 9 sessions long over 1000 episodes and I love every single one. Anime was my go to therapy. So in a way I consider it like my second family.

Also one of my key interest is Culinary. This is a picture of Macaroons. Macaroons is a French desert. I chose this one because macaroons are my favorite. But they are hard to make. It like life it seems easy but its hard and takes time.

For my final key interest is coding.  I really wanted to do coding because I always found I interesting on how someone can make a game or how someone can hack.

Learning Feedback

When you give someone feed back its okay to point out something you think should be changed. Yes is good to complement them if hey did a good job but is also good point things out if you think there incorrect or wish to be changed. Like a suggestion they could do.

When I had received my feedback it was vey nice to hear. But I do wish they would have le me know how I did. Or to have received a suggestion of what I could have done differently.

This weekend post

So recently I started a new program called "open source learning". We have been talking about or key interest or what we are passionate about. Our teacher asked us to make a post about this. So this is my in take about the subject.

A few things that I am passionate about is anime and dramas, coding, culinary and Korean culture and language. I am passionate about these things because I like to learn a different language and also I would really like to be a developer. I want to learn these things because in a way they all help people. Also I've been super interested in these topics.

The perversity preprogramed classes I had before taught me organization and as well that not all students learn at the same paste. What I also learned that with a patience teacher and one willing to go beyond for there students. The students can achieve so much when they have a excellent teacher like that. One connect I can make is with my preprogramed classes is that for me to do engineering is that I need to know algebra.

An additional field I would like to experiment is Engineering. With engineering you need to solve problems and have good team communication skills. I've have always enjoyed doing the stem projects in class. Where they give us a problem and we have to fix it by building something. We'll be on a budge so we have to think about what materials we need the most. I just love how I have to think and use problem solving skills. Ones that are different from math.

Mental Fitness is important because it helps keep your brain working. It helps you think of something more creative and improves your skills. With a strong mental mind you can do much more. Even if you failed the first time you can just get back up again and train harder for the next time.

Physical fitness is also important because it keeps you healthy. if your healthy then you can enjoy doing more activities and games. with a strong body you can enjoy everyday and not have to worry about the little things.

EVERYTHING IS A REMIX

I really liked the video and I was shocked to how much it was true. Now that I look back on it I realized so much was a remix of some thing ...
