Prologue
The day of the birth of the first princess who would be known as Elizabeth. The princess who would cure the Royal Family. In the Crimson Empire there had never once been a princess before. This was due to the curse that was placed on the first emperor. The First Emperor King James V Lancaster was able to succeed the throne due to the help of a goddess. The Goddess had fallen madly in love with James, a knight. When James was a knight the emperor at the time was a naïve and foolish man. He was easily swayed by others and James knew this. For James was a man of greed. He craved more power and money. He wanted to be king. The goddess who was blinded by her love for James offered to help him. She couldn't see the evil that was in his heart and for that she paid the price. The goddess thought if she had helped James become king he would make her queen. But she was wrong. After James became king he always made excuses on why he couldn't marry the goddess and told her to wait. But in reality James was planning to murder the goddess. The whole time James was only using the goddess. King James had charged the goddess with attempted of murder on the Royal family and sentenced her to be executed. The Goddess was outraged by this. So when the day of execution came the goddess cursed the Royal Family. The goddess has cursed them to be killed by anyone they loved. The only one who could break this curse is one born female of royal blood. For generations after that every king has always hoped to give birth to a princess in hope to break this wrenched curse. But one after one each generation failed until centuries later.
Chapter One
My name is Im Sun Hae. I was 25 years old and I lived in South Korea. I had finally made it to the big league in cooking. Everything was going well for me. I gave up my whole life and dedicated it to cooking. So why when I finally make it I die!! The last thing I remembered was getting hit by a car on my way to work. Then next thing I knew when I woke up was winning like a baby. I came to find out I am in a place called The Crimson Empire.
I have blond hair and red eyes. When I was born my mother had passed away while giving birth to me. Since my mother had no family I was sold into the slave world. I was bought by a noble Marques family that has the last name Castle. The Castle family hated my eyes. So I always have them covered. I don't have a name but the people here call me Eleven. I am a slave lower than a maid over here.
The Castle Family are Marques. They have two kids. The oldest is their son Alec. Alec is 14. Alec has brown hair and blue eyes just like the madam. Their daughter Sara has Brown hair and brown eyes. Sara is only 2 years younger than her brother. The Master of the house has brown eyes and hair. The Madam is the one who runs the house. She is also in charge of all of the servants in the house. She is also in charge of Sara education. Their son Alec is away at boarding school. Sara often bullies the servants. Eleven was one of her favorites to pick on.
She would often take her anger out on Eleven. The other family members knew but never did anything about it. The master was almost never home and when he was he was drunk. The Son didn't even bother trying; he would just walk by her. Eleven often missed meals. The master made it very clear that he hated eleven's eyes. Eleven had red sparkly eyes. They looked like red rubies. They are truly beautiful. But eleven always had them covered and avoided the master as best as she could.
Chapter Two
The sun was bright for it being autumn. Eleven who had been up since before dawn were outside cleaning the stables. Sara and her friends were out having a tea party in the garden so eleven was free. The stables was the only place Sara didn’t go. So when Eleven wanted to get away she would go to the stables and hide.
“Maximus!” shouted Eleven, A white horse turned around. Maximus was a horse that Eleven got close to. She would often bring him snacks from time to time. In turn Maximus would let her sleep with him in the stables on cold nights. They have a really good bond with each other. Maximus didn’t get along with the other horses just like how Eleven didn’t get along with any of the maid and servants. Eleven dashed to Maximus with an apple in one hand. She went there and sat next to him. She fed him the apple then took out a piece of bread for herself. “ Hey Max do you know that there are these blankets that heat up automatically. All you have to do is plug it in! They don’t have them here but I will make one for us!”. Max just nodded in agreement. Eleven got up and grabbed a brush and started brushing Max. “ Max, what should we eat for dinner tonight?” Eleven asked.” Do you want western, eastern or Korean food?” Max respond with” kneeee “ So Korean food huh, Good Choice that is my specialty.”
Eleven! Someone shouted angrily. Eleven dropped the brush and rushed outside. The person who called was Sara. “ Yes miss” eleven rushed to say. “ Go get us some more tea and make sure it's hot.” Sara replied “ Yes miss” Eleven started and then went on to get the tea. When eleven came back. Sara had eleven pour her a couple of tea. Sara picked up the tea cup and poured it on Eleven. “ I don’t drink earl tea. I like green tea more.” Sara said with a smirk on her face. Eleven went on to say that “ But miss that is the one that the kitchen said you got before” “How dare you talk back to me, You are less than a maid and you dare talk to me like that!” Sara said. The others started to whisper around us. Then one of the maids came and whispered in Sara's ear. “ fine. Leave us at once, I'll deal with you later.” Sara stated. I got up and left. I proceed to go to the abandoned garden.
This garden used to be the past madam garden. But after the new madam came this garden was abandoned. It used to be beautiful. The trees always had fruit and flowers were in bloom all year, even in the cold winters. I was close to the past madam. She fed me and helped me avoid the other family members. She protected me when the others would hit me. Actually the Madam was the one to teach me how to read and write. She even taught me to cook some of the traditional meals they have here. Ahh those times are where life was simple. But after the accident. The family changed. Master started to drink more often and the madam who was loyal started to flirt with other men. Their daughter started to even act out more.” Ahh times are difficult now. “ Eleven stated while letting out a sigh. “ Found it!”. Eleven started to run towards the left part of the garden. She put her hand on the plant that died and was able to heal it. Eleven discovered this ability when the madam was alive. The madam told me to never tell anyone of this ability. Eleven was able to bring plants to life. She could make a tree bare fruit, the ground bare vegetable she needed. All she had to do was think of it. It's been a couple of years since she discovered this ability. It came in handy whenever eleven wanted to cook or were hungry. But after it would leave her very tired. Before she was only able to make a couple vegetables but now she can make a lot.
Eleven gathered all the vegetables she needed for the meal and headed onwards to the stable. Eleven was going to hide there and then sneak into the kitchen after everyone fell asleep. The kitchen staff doesn't like eleven either. It was starting to get dark so eleven had to rush back to the stables before the master came back.
Chapter Three
“ I finally got here.” Eleven said out of breath. She put down the basket she had and picked up a shovel and bucket then she grabbed an apple from the basket. She went towards Maximus, gave him the apple then proceeded to clean his stall. Maximus doesn't let the other workers clean his stall. So his stall is always dirty until eleven comes and cleans it. She tries to come three times a day but she can't always do that. But I'm sure Maximus appreciates it. Eleven finishes cleaning. She takes the bucket and shovel outside where she could clean them. On her way back she picks up a haystack and takes it with her to the stables. She opens the gate and lets Maximus out so she can put the hay down. Eleven finishes and Maximus comes back in. “ So what are we going to eat today Little one ?” Maximus says. Maximus talks but he doesn't do it in front of the other horses or people. The only one who ever hears him is eleven. Thanks to this, eleven has someone to talk to and so does maximus. Eleven still has no clue on how she can understand him. But it doesn't bother her.“ Gimbap!’ Eleven happily replies” I'm going to go to the kitchen. I'll be back so don't miss me too much ``'' Don't worry I won't, little one. Just be safe and don't cause trouble” Maximus states. She then picks up the basket and heads towards the kitchen. It's late so no one should be up at this time.
( Gimbap- A traditional snack that Koreans eat. It has vegetables, rice and dried up seaweed. It basically sushi but with out the fish. It only has vegetables.
Flashback
One day eleven snuck into the masters library and she found a book about a western war called North vs South. She had remembered seeing a book like this in past life. She heard it was a war that changed the way the westerns have their laws. She thought the book would be interesting so she took it with her. Eleven couldn't go back to her room because she shares it with other maids and Sara often goes there to look for her. So there was only one place that eleven thought that Sara would never go to. The Stables. It was dirty and stinky. It was like a safe zone for her. When Eleven got there she went all the way to the end and there was one empty stall. So eleven went in there and started reading. She was reading like a whisper. The Eleven got stuck on this one word. Segregation. “ se-se-gration.” Eleven stutters to say. Then someone says'' The word is Pronounced Seg-re-ga-tion, Now say it slowly again.” Eleven was shocked she jumped up and said ‘ who's there? “ while violently looking around. She didn't see no one, she only saw a white horse. '' Over here little one, “ then eleven turned to the horse and said” are you speaking to me? “ “ Yes I am, Now where are your manners? I am older than you.” The horse stated. Eleven jaws were down to the ground. “ Close your mouth little one. It's rude to leave it open” The horse states firmly. Eleven closes her mouth then goes on to say'' How are you talking to me? Did I finally go crazy? I'm only 6 though” Eleven was in pure shock. “ You’re not crazy and yes I am a talking horse”. “ Bu-bu-but how did you know how to pronounce that word?”” well my grandfather taught me how to. He was alive during that ti-- Wait, aren't you curious on how I am able to talk to you !?”” Well of course I am. But I figured it was some kind of magic.” The horse started to laugh and say'' You are one wired kid Little one, So what is your name?” “ Well I don't really have a name but everyone calls me Eleven ! “ she states “ Hmm I will call you little one then. You may call me Maximums.” “ okay. It is very nice to meet you sir Maximums.” “ Now back to what you were reading. Why did you choose that book? It's very advanced for your age and level.” Maximums says. “ Well it looks like a good book and I was bored so I just chose a random one” Eleven bluntly states.
