Introduction to Digital Data

Day 1 

•  digital data a scientific study and a formal system that has to so with information that people need to know what to keep privet ( discrete ) 
• digital is the Latin word for finger 
• Information theory is study of coding 
• Information systems is the use of computers to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data or information.
• Each piece of digital data is different 
•  Important to rembered that information doesn't have a meaning until we put it with another piece of information  
• digital data is when we take slices of something 
• an analog signal is any continuous signal it has a beginning middle and end it keeps going on 
• analog signal is like a Tape and a digital data is like a YouTube video 
• we receive digit data differently than we receive analog signal 
• digital data is 0 and 1 
• analog is a wave 
• All of our real world information is binary numerical form in digital data 
• So all of our information is 0 and 1 
• Binary - made up of (0) or (1) one code

Day 2 

• In different situations data could have different meanings to people 
• information theory is the study of data 
• information systems is like the rules of data 
• cloud computing is there are data storage centers
• sever farms are big rooms that store data 
• there big machines that are all processing 
• when you back up on the cloud you save it to a server farm
• Hybrid data storage system- back up data in more than one place 
• another way you can do is send an email to your self 
• Also can use cloud 
• And hard drive 
• Wikipedia is a grate place to start but a terrible place to stop  
• its important to back up your data

Day 3 

• sever farms are internet 
• internet started with local network 
• computer engineers created packet 
• it would be difficult for us to learn to use the internet 
• the space between internet 
•  A man named Tim burton lee created a way for people use internet 
• There's are part of our brain that activates when were angry 
• working with computers has its pro and cons 
• the result are always crystal clear 
• either you did right or wrong 
• machines need to agree on language
